Gold

Single Mine Origin: Ask for a QR code card when you visit us to find out where your gold will come from.

Our metal suppliers provide Fairtrade and Fairmined Gold and follow Human Rights and Supply Chain Policies.

Fairtrade Gold: Ensures that jewellers and consumers are reassured that artisanal and small-scale miners are getting a fairer deal. Miners are supported with a Fairtrade Minimum Price.

Fairmined Gold: An independent, not-for-profit initiative. It gets mines up to an ethical working standard and operates minimum prices to ensure miners aren't exploited.

Human Rights and Supply Chain Policies: Our suppliers are committed to respect human rights, avoid contributing to the finance of conflict and comply with all relevant UN sanctions, resolutions and laws. This is verified by independent third-parties.

Gemstones

Our select gemstone suppliers are in close personal contact with gem-cutting workshops and will frequently visit to hand-select gemstones and maintain confidence that employees are treated fairly.

Frequently asked questions

Do You Use Recycled Gold?

Yes. As gold is a finite material, only up to 60% of gold used annually comes from newly mined sources.

Our gold suppliers pride themselves in recovering metals from several different sources and being able to recycle them through smelting and refining, without degrading their properties.

Can I Use My Own Gemstones Or Metal With You?

Yes. One of our popular services is to remodel jewellery using our customers available gold and gemstones.

The first step is to book a consultation with us to bring in the pieces you have available - we'll then discuss how you can best use them.

Do You Buy Gold?

Yes! We can offer a scrap price for gold reflective of the current gold prices.

This can be done over the counter or can be put towards a commission, repair or purchase.

How Can You Tell If A Diamond Is Lab-Grown Or Natural?

You will not be able to tell if a diamond is lab-grown or natural by the naked eye.

Lab-grown diamonds will be marked with a laser inscription on the diamond's girdle to determine its origin by the grading laboratory. This can be seen with specialist equipment when the stone is loose and not set into jewellery.
